The Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship is a unique opportunity for international students worldwide to pursue their studies in Wales during the 2023/24 academic year. This scholarship is the first of its kind in Wales and is financially supported by the Global Wales Programme, which is a collaboration between the Welsh Government, Universities Wales, The British Council, and HEFC
All universities in Wales offer scholarships under the scheme, and interested applicants need to have already applied for a place to study an eligible postgraduate programme before submitting a scholarship application.

Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship 2023 | Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Have submitted an application to study an eligible postgraduate programme at one of the following Welsh Universities: Aberystwyth University, Bangor University, Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Swansea University, University of South Wales, University of Wales trinity Saint David, Wrexham Glyndwr University.
- Be due to start a postgraduate programme in September 2023.
- Be classed as an overseas student for fee paying purposes.
- Be a citizen of an eligible country.
